Strengthening Existing Emergency Plan
As part of the 猎奇重口视频 University campus safety plan, the Reading Police Department in conjunction with Reading Fire and EMS, Cumru Township Police, West Reading Police and 猎奇重口视频 public safety and residence life personnel, conducted a SIMULATED active shooter training scenario on August 16, on 猎奇重口视频's main campus in Reading.
The scenario involved role players and included a simulated armed suspect and simulated casualties which were triaged by EMS. The scenario also involved an emergency response from Reading Police and a lock down of the campus along with electronic emergency messaging.
The simulated active shooter scenario was designed to strengthen the university鈥檚 existing emergency action plan; test and evaluate communication between security staff at 猎奇重口视频 and emergency response teams; educate and train emergency response personnel; and evaluate standard operating procedures and tactics.
